Actors Theatre Rajasthan is a cultural force using the power of theatre to illuminate social issues, preserve heritage, and awaken communities across the heartland of India.
Established to promote the creative arts, Actors Theatre Rajasthan (ATR) has been active for several decades in the fields of theatre, radio, and television. Registered in 1994–95 under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act, 1958 (Rajasthan Act No. 28 of 1958), ATR is dedicated to the evolution and upliftment of new dimensions in the art form.
To foster a professional and educational environment for the arts, the organization consistently conducts seminars, exhibitions, youth theatre festivals, and workshops. ATR collaborates closely with the Ministry of Culture (Government of India), the Sangeet Natak Akademi (New Delhi), and the Department of Art, Literature, Culture, and Archaeology (Government of Rajasthan).
Having remained active and dedicated for decades, we are committed to continuous pursuit of theatrical excellence, fostering innovation, and developing new dimensions in both modern and traditional Rajasthani theatre, contributing to the state's cultural landscape.

Productions like Mera Kya Kasoor — which won national acclaim at Rajrangam — tackle female foeticide, gender discrimination, and the plight of the girl child. Our plays have reached schools, rural communities, and urban audiences alike.

Rajasthan's premier national-level theatre festival, successfully organized on 8 occasions by Actors Theatre Rajasthan in association with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The recent 8th Rajrangam (14–15 May 2026) at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK), Jaipur, featured flagship plays (Flirt, Molière's Tartuffe, and the folk musical Gopichand Bhartrihari) alongside a national seminar and art exhibitions.

Co-ordinated and performed 540 street play shows across 9 districts to promote youth empowerment and health, in partnership with Rajasthan Patrika.
